TURKISH club Fenerbahce are reportedly preparing a January swoop for Juventus defender Martin Caceres, who is also wanted by Liverpool.
Caceres, 28, is out of contract at the end of the seasons and is expected to leave Juve.
The defender is able to discuss pre-contract terms with other clubs as his current deal enters its final six months.
Liverpool were reportedly ready to offer the Uruguayan a contract ahead of a free transfer next summer.
But Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Reds will struggle to fend off Fenerbahce's interest.
It is reported that Fenerbahce, second in the Turkish Super Lig, are keen to bolster their squad now ahead of a title run-in with Besiktas.
The Istanbul club are expected to offer Juve a decent package to cut Caceres' stay in Turin short by half a year.
Caceres has not played a competitive game for Juve since September but has been involved in Uruguay's 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign this autumn, where he has scored two goals in four outings.
Juve's Serie A rivals Milan are also said to be eying up Caceres, although their main priority is to try and land Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic before the transfer window shuts.
