ASHLEY COLE has signed for LA Galaxy.
The former England, Chelsea and Arsenal left-back has completed his move to the States after being released from his Roma contract.
“Ashley is one of the world’s most successful defenders and has played at the highest level of competition throughout his career,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena.
“He can provide our defence with valuable experience. We look forward to his contribution to our club this season.”
Cole had been linked with a move to Manchester United following an injury crisis at Old Trafford.
But the move to LA sees him team up with Steve Gerrard and Robbie Keane at the StubHub Centre.
The transfer is subject to international and visa clearance and the terms of the contract have not been disclosed by the club.
Cole made 107 England appearances and won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.
