JURGEN KLOPP says Liverpool were unlucky not to beat West Ham in the FA Cup fourth round tie tonight.
The Reds were held to a goalless draw at home to the Hammers, adding yet another fixture to their packed schedule.
A replay in east London next month was probably the last thing Klopp wanted, having just completed a run of nine matches in 29 days in January.
And the German, who saw his side reach the League Cup final against Stoke in midweek, believes his Liverpool players lacked that 'bit of luck' needed to overcome the Hammers.
He said: "We had the bigger chances but now we have to play again. West Ham have good quality in their team and play well in the league. We tried everything, you need a bit of luck.
"I was pleased with the whole team. Steven Caulker played for the first time in his position in defence and did well but I cannot fault anyone.
"They tried and gave all. We played much better than we did at West Ham, but we didn't score so it is not over."
