JURGEN KLOPP was critical of his Liverpool players after they were twice forced to battle back against League Two side Exeter City in the FA Cup.
The Reds went a goal down after nine minutes and trailed 2-1 at half-time after a mistake by goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.
But in the 73rd minute, left-back Brad Smith saved Liverpool from embarrassment when he finished well from close range.
Klopp had made 11 changes from Tuesday's Capital One Cup win over Stoke but was still unhappy with the way his side struggled tonight.
He told the BBC: "It's obvious what we have to learn in the future. We have to be more robust.
"It was a difficult pitch. Exeter did really well. Maybe they know which part of the pitch you can play football.
"It was really difficult for us today. On one-on-one situations they were more robust than our guys."
