Formula One star Felipe Massa bizarrely confirms Alexandre Pato's transfer to Chelsea

FORMULA ONE star Felipe Massa appears to have rubber-stamped Alexandre Pato’s move to Chelsea.

News News Blog Sport understands that Pato will join the Blues on loan from Corinthians and become Guus Hiddink’s first signing this January.

And Massa, Brazilian Formula One driver for Williams, has congratulated his fellow countryman on his impending move to Stamford Bridge.

 

Massa wrote on Instagram: “Brother I'm sure it's gonna be very good for you!! Happy birthday and a lot of strength, let's go!! @Pato I am sure it will be very good for you my bro!! Congrats @chelseafc.”

Chelsea looked back to their best as they beat Arsenal 1-0 last weekend and the addition of the 26-year-old striker will boost their options in attack.

Loic Remy appears to have edged closer to leaving Chelsea after leading bookmakers Ladbrokes reduced odds on his departure. 

The French striker has been linked with Crystal Palace and Newcastle this month and he’ll be desperate to find first-team football ahead of Euro 2016 this summer.

Palace securing his signature has halved from 6/1 to 3/1 but Newcastle remain favourites at 5/2.
