FENERBAHCE are hoping to make the loan move of Liverpool midfielder Lazar Markovic permanent, according to reports.
Markovic joined the Turkish club on a season long loan in the summer after struggling in his debut campaign at Anfield.
Brendan Rodgers signed the 21-year-old from Benfica in 2014 for £20million.
But in his first season with the Reds he rarely featured in his favourite position as a winger and he started just 11 Premier League games.
However he has performed well so far in Turkey, making 13 appearances and scoring once for Fenerbahce.
And Turkish newspaper Takvim claim the Super Lig club are now hoping to set up a meeting with Liverpool to discuss the chance of completing a permanent deal for the Serbian international.
The Reds are willing to take a hit on Markovic, and could sell the 21-year-old for a fee in the region of £7.3m.
