Tim Howard is reportedly close to joining Colorado Rapids

 

Everton have opened talks with Sporting Lisbon for highly-rated Algerian forward Islam Slimani, according to reports.

The Daily Mail claim the Toffees have been tracking the 27-year-old for some time and are negotiating a fee for the attacker.

He's understood to have £22.5million buy-out clause and a number of Premier League clubs have also shown interest, including Manchester United and West Ham.

 

Youngster Jonjoe Kenny has joined League Two high-flyers Oxford United on a one-month loan deal, it has been confirmed.

The 18-year-old right back will join Michael Appleton's side after a successful seven-game spell at Wigan Athletic earlier in the season.

Appleton said: “He is very highly-rated at Goodison and we are not the only club to have watched him a number of times this season.

 

Tim Howard is 'highly likely' to leave Goodison Park for MLS side Colorado Rapids, according to reports.

American broadcaster NBC Sports claim he has held serious talks with Rapids and a contract could be signed this month, with the move taking place in the summer.

Howard has made 320 Premier League appearances for the Toffees and is under contract until 2018.
