David De Gea posts farewell message on Twitter as Man Utd star nears exit.
Valdes, 34, is reportedly close to joining Standard Liege on loan for the remainder of the season, when his United contract expires.
The Spaniard, who is yet to feature this term, has been exiled from the first team after a bust up with Louis van Gaal in the close season.
And now De Gea, United's first choice shot-stopper, has wished his compatriot luck ahead of his temporary move to Belgium.
The 25-year-old tweeted: "We learn a lot from the best! Good luck my friend in this new stage! @1victorvaldes."

Valdes, who has played just twice for United since joining on a free last January, all but confirmed his exit after posting a goodbye tweet of his own.
"Thank you all for your support during these month of hard work for me, I will never forget. See you soon!" the former Barcelona man wrote.
