MONACO considered recalling Radamel Falcao from his Chelsea loan spell before having a change of heart, club vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has revealed.
Falcao is on loan at Chelsea for the season after ending another loan stint, at Manchester United, last summer.
The Colombia international has so far not impressed in a Blues shirt, having scoring just once all season, and has been out since October with a thigh injury.
But Vasilyev says no agreement was reached after the 29-year-old failed the tests.
"It's true that we've talked about Falcao on numerous occasions," Vasilyev told RMC Sport.
"He came over and had a medical. Unfortunately, he was injured.
"So we took the decision that it would be better for him to stay with Chelsea.
"Could he return one day? I won't close the door, that door remains open."
