Chelsea working on £60m triple deal for striker, winger and defender

CHELSEA are pushing on with a £60million triple move to sign Alex Teixeira, Alexandre Pato and Aymen Abdennour.

Teixeira is a long-term target for Chelsea, who value the Brazilian winger at £30million.

News News Blog Sport exclusively revealed last month that the 26-year-old has verbally agreed to join the Blues.

However, Shakhtar Donetsk's billionaire president Rinat Akhmetov has told Chelsea they will have to pay a premium to sign their star man in January.

 

A source told the Daily Star: "I know Shakhtar well and they will not let this happen in this window."

Chelsea are expected to wait until the summer to land Teixeira.

Chelsea are also in talks to sign Brazil striker Pato for £10m, with the deal more likely should Teixeira prove impossible to land in this transfer window.

It's been suggested that Pato could even make his debut against Arsenal on Sunday - but that looks somewhat premature.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly employing a one-in-one-out policy at the club and wants to sell Loic Remy first before landing Pato.

The Corinthians hitman, 26, has also been offered to Liverpool and Tottenham and is desperate for a move to the Premier League.
