CHELSEA have beaten Manchester United to young Ajax midfielder Juan Familia Castillo, according to reports.
The Dutch youngster was believed to have been close to a move to Old Trafford until Blues boss Guus Hiddink struck.
United are understood to have opened talks with the teenager in November, but negotiations stretched on for a month, giving Castillo cold feet.
And the Daily Mail claim Hiddink used his influence to lure the Netherlands U16s captain to Stamford Bridge instead.
It's also claimed Chelsea offered 'greater incentives' to Ajax and impressed the youngster with their academy set-up.
The Red Devils have instead turned their attention to FC Zurich striker Nishan Burkhart.
And United also completed a deal for Italy U16 Luca Ercolani last week, confirmed by the defender's Instagram posts.
