Chelsea on brink of completing deal with La Liga club for winger

CHRISTIAN ATSU is reportedly on the verge of joining La Liga side Levante on loan until the end of the season.

 

Christian Atsu is yet to play for Chelsea

 

The Ghanaian winger spent the first half of the season at Bournemouth.

But he was recalled by the Blues at the start of the month after his loan spell was hampered by injury and a lack of first team opportunities, meaning he made just two appearances.

 

Interim manager Guus Hiddink is understood to have assessed Atsu during training and is prepared to let him leave.

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser report Levante are in talks with Chelsea over a deal but Bundesliga side Hamburg are also keen.

 

Any loan move would be Atsu's fourth since joining Chelsea in 2013 from Porto.

He is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea's senior side.
