Chelsea face £75m battle to sign Eden Hazard replacement

CHELSEA must pay £75million to sign Antoine Griezmann after Atletico Madrid reportedly increased his buy-out clause.

The French attacker is a long-term target for the Premier League champions but Atletico have been resolute in their determination to hold onto the 24 year-old.

This season he has scored 15 goals in all competitions for club and country.

 

Spanish sports paper AS claim Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain all want to sign Griezmann.

But in a bid to put off potential suitors, Atletico are ready to increase his release clause from £60m to £75m.

 

His current contract runs to 2020 and he is seemingly happy to stay in Spain.

Griezmann could be a replacement for Eden Hazard who is unsettled at Stamford Bridge and has reportedly told close friends he wants to leave in the summer.

Hazard has been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United.
