PAPY DJILOBODJI has revealed his confusion at his failure to break into the first team at Chelsea.

Chelsea defender hits out at coaches
Djilobodji celebrated his move to Werder Bremen with a win (

Jose Mourinho signed the centre-back's on transfer deadline day last summer after the failure to secure John Stones.
Djilobodji joined alongside another defender, Michael Hector, as Chelsea desperately tried to add some depth to their squad at the back.
Hector immediately rejoined Reading on loan but Djilobodji stayed at the club having signed a four-year deal at Chelsea.

But the 27-year-old made just one 62-second substitute appearance before and is still at a loss as to why he failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
"Really I do not know. I gave everything," he told German newspaper Bild
"But the coaches have decided it. For me, it is also an incentive to continue to work."

And work is what he will find plenty of at Werder Bremen.
The German side are just four points off the bottom of the Bundesliga with five wins all season.
But Djilobodji seems to have had an instant impact at the club, making his debut with a start against Schalke just three days after signing: Bremen won 3-1.

"My goal is to play a lot and contribute my experience," Djilobodji said after the game.
"We have good players, now we need self-confidence and good results, to climb.
"I will give here 100 percent."
