KURT ZOUMA admits the players are to blame for the Chelsea's downfall this season.

Chelsea ace: We aren't well mentally and it's our own fault
Kurt Zouma believes his team can turn their bad start around

The reigning Premier League champions have failed to hit the ground running this season after a dismal start to the campaign that saw Jose Mourinho given the boot in December.
The players received a lot of criticism from the fans for their poor performances in the lead up to Mourinho's sacking, with Diego Costa and Cesc Fabreagas baring the brunt of abuse from the Stamford Bridge faithful.
But since Guus Hiddink's arrival in west London, the Blues have gone six games in all competitions without defeat.
And Zouma believes that although his side have struggled to cope mentally, they are now showing belief when it comes to getting results.

Chelsea ace: We aren't well mentally and it's our own fault
Jose Mourinho was sacked in December after a poor run of results

“It’s been pretty tough for us since the start of the season, we can’t lie to ourselves," Zouma said. "We’re not where we should be. I think it’s a mental thing. I can’t give reasons but I think it’s because mentally we’re not well.
“There are always seasons like that but we’ll lift our heads up and it will be OK.
"It’s difficult but we believe in ourselves and we have no choice but to lift our heads up. We haven’t lost in 2016, even if we’re advancing slowly. We’ll try and speed up a bit.

“I think we are responsible because we’re the ones on the pitch and we didn’t play well.
"We didn’t do what we should have, didn’t play the right way and I don’t think that’s the fault of the coach.
“Everyone has their share of responsibility but I think we were just as good with Jose Mourinho as with Guus Hiddink. It’s the same thing.
“We haven’t lost this year, but we’re drawing, it’s a bit complicated. We’re picking up one point in three. We’re better than we were at the start of the season when we were losing games. I hope we go on a run now and win a lot of games.”
