SLAVEN BILIC says his West ham side did not deserve anything from their trip to St James' Park today.
Bilic watched on as the Hammers went two goals down inside 15 minuets before pulling one back for a 2-1 defeat.
Ayoze Perez and Georginio Wijnaldum bagged the goals for the Magpies, while Nikica Jelavic earned a rare consolation goal in reply.
And Bilic says his team's slow start cost them on Tyneside.
"The second half was good from us. We were much better than in the first half when they were better, let's be honest.
"They scored two goals very early and it gave them confidence but from the first minute of the game they were getting to second balls and looked hungrier, sharper, quicker more everything.
"In the second half we improved a lot and in the end we could have nicked a point when we had a great chance to equalise.
"But, overall, they deserved to beat us."
