Blow for Liverpool and Arsenal as £15m La Liga star agrees new contract

INAKI WILLIAMS is set to sign a new deal which will keep him at Athletic Bilbao until 2020.

 

Inaki Williams is one of the most promising players in La Liga

 

The 21-year-old has had a fine season with the Basque club, scoring six goals in 14 La Liga appearances this season.

He also holds the record of being the fastest player in Spain, recording a top speed of 22.2 miles per hour.

 

And his exploits have led to him being linked with Liverpool and Arsenal.

Scouts from the Emirates reportedly watched Williams against Villarreal on Wednesday, where he scored the only goal in a 1-0 away win in the Copa del Rey.

 

But Goal.com claim the attacker has agreed a three-year extension to his current deal with expires in 2017.

They also report Williams' release clause will rise to around £53million.
