ARSENAL will only sign Celta Vigo's Nolito if they meet his £12.6million release clause.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Spaniard in recent weeks with Arsene Wenger said to be a big admirer of the forward.
Barcelona are also keen on his services and Nolito reportedly favours a return to the Nou Camp to work under Luis Enrique.
Nolito has been in impressive form for the La Liga side with eight goals this season, as the club sit fifth in the table, six points adrift of a Champions League spot.
But Celta are keen to keep hold of the Spain international and hope that he sees out his contract until the summer of 2019.
The club's director of football, Miguel Torrecilla, announced last night the Galician club will not let go of their star man without a fight.
He said: “Whoever wants Nolito has to pay his release clause now.”
Wenger is reportedly on the lookout for another striker to bolster his attacking options as the Gunners go in search of their first Premier League trophy in 12 years.
Arsenal top the table after 22 games, ahead of Leicester on goal difference.
