Mohamed Elneny is close to joining Arsenal

Mohamed Elneny's move to Arsenal should be complete this week.
The Egypt midfielder is still to have the transfer signed off and needs a work permit.
But Arsene Wenger is hopeful it will be sorted soon with the need to add to his side ahead of a title chase.

"As long as it’s not definitely signed you have to be cautious, but I’m optimistic,” Wenger said.
“The situation should be sorted out. There’s a lot of work permit problems and special paperwork to do and the visa. We hope to finalise it this week.
“I think this week it can happen, we are positive.”

Adrien Rabiot is also edging closer to joining Arsenal this month.
The PSG midfielder is wanted by the Gunners as Wenger looks at his options in midfield.
The 20-year-old is keen to leave having struggled to get into Laurent Blanc's side this season.
