ARSENAL have snapped up England midfielder Fara Williams from rivals Liverpool on a two-year deal.
Williams, the most capped England player in history, joins Pedro Losa's side after three years on Merseyside.
Williams helped Liverpool to back-to-back league titles in 2013 and 2014.
She was awarded an MBE last week after helping England women to the bronze medal at last summer's World Cup for her services to football and for her work in the homeless community.
She said: "Firstly I would like to place on record my thanks to all the Liverpool Ladies staff, players and fans for my stay.
"Since 2012 it has been a great journey and one I will never forget. I’m very proud of what we have all achieved together.
"It is now time for a new chapter and I am delighted to join Arsenal Ladies for the next 2 years."

Arsenal boss Pedro Martinez Losa said: “We are delighted to welcome Fara to the club.
“She is a great competitor and a fantastic character too.
“She is a player with huge experience at club and international level, and her reading and understanding of games is fantastic.
“She is an exciting addition to the squad and I look forward to working with her as we begin preparations for the 2016 season."
