MESUT OZIL has been crowned Germany’s Player of the Year for 2015.

Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil named Germany national team Player of the Year
Mesut Ozil has been crowned Germany Player of the Year four the fourth time

The Arsenal midfielder has been in sensational form for the Gunners this season with 16 assists in 20 Premier League matches.
Ozil is now just four short of the single-season record held by Thierry Henry.
But the German hasn’t just been impressing for his club.

The World Cup winner played a huge part in Germany’s successful qualification campaign last year as they topped Group D - losing two of their nine matches.
And Ozil’s incredible season for his country saw him pick up his fourth Germany national team Player of the Year award as voted for by the fans.
More than 51,000 fans voted, with Ozil the clear winner having garnered 45.9 per cent of the votes, compared to just 15.9 per cent for Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller in second place.

Ozil’s trophy will sit nicely alongside his three Arsenal Player of the Month awards he currently has to his name this season.
The German also found out yesterday that he is in in contention for Barclays Premier League Player of the Month, alongside Arsene Wenger who has been nominated for the manager equivalent.
Arsenal lead the table after 21 games with their next match a trip to Stoke on Sunday (4.15pm).
