LIVERPOOL'S move for Shakhtar Donetsk ace Alex Teixeira is stalling, according to reports.
According to Sky Sports the Reds and the Ukrainian club still remain far apart in their valuations of the 26-year old.
Liverpool have now had two bids for Teixeira, who has scored 22 goals in 15 league games so far this season, rejected by Shakhtar this month.
Chief executive Ian Ayre tabled an opening £24million bid for the forward during face to face talks with Shakhtar officials in Florida last week.
Shakhtar value Teixeira, who was also interesting Chelsea, at £38m, and a big compromise on price will be required if this deal is to go through.
The Brazilian winger is currently in Florida for Shakhtar's warm weather training camp, and he was spotted during a training session posing for a picture with a Liverpool fan.
Despite Shakhtar's reluctance to sell their star player, Teixeira admitted last week he was interested in a move to the Premier League.
Speaking to Brazilian newspaper Globo he said: "I am aware that two big clubs such as Liverpool and Chelsea are interested but I haven’t given my word to either of them.
"I am not ruling out other leagues but I do want to play in the Premier League."
