AC MILAN are preparing a bid for Marouane Fellaini when their sale of Luiz Adriano is complete, according to reports.
Milan only signed Adriano last July but he is now on the brink of sealing a move to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning for around £10.5million.
And Italian media outlet Calciomercato are expecting that money to be reinvested in Milan's midfield - a problem area for the San Siro outfit.
And two Belgians are reportedly top of Sinisa Mihajlovic's shopping list, namely Zenit Saint Petersburg's Axel Witsel and Manchester United's Fellaini.
Witsel has already admitted to wanting out of the club in the January transfer window.
However, Milan are likely to face strong competition from the Premier League for the 27-year-old who has been linked with both Tottenham and Chelsea.
Fellaini has been a figure of ridicule for many since his £27.5m transfer to United from Everton.
The 28-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular place at Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal has experimented with him as a lone striker as well as a midfielder.
But a move to Italy could represent an escape for Fellaini while he would be a very credible option to shore up the midfield as the San Siro outfit attempt to pull themselves out of mid-table mediocrity in Serie A.
