Gareth Bale admits he would be happy for Wales to draw England in the same group at Euro 2016 |
GARETH BALE insists Wales would have nothing to fear if they land in the same group as England in tomorrow's Euro 2016 draw - indeed he would be "happy" to matched up with Roy Hodgson's side.
Wales will be in the bottom pot thanks to the UEFA coefficient despite recently making it into the top 10 of FIFA's world rankings. England are in pot one, along with Germany, Spain, Belgium, Portugal and hosts France.
So even though Wales have lost every game they have played against their next-door neighbours for over 30 years, Bale said: "If we came out with England then we'd be happy - why not?
"We can beat England and the pressure would be on them. We will try to do our best whoever we play.
"There's no pressure on us. We are going to go there to enjoy the occasion and try to do our country proud. That's all we can do and that's all our supporters can ask for."
