Swansea sacking: Monk axe today, £3m pay-off, ex-Liverpool boss return, Moyes snub
Monk played under Brendan Rodgers during his spell as Swansea boss
Monk could go today or Jenkins may wait until tomorrow after he collects his OBE at an engagement in London.

The 36-year-old is set to receive a £3million pay-off if he is axed.

Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is being lined up to replace Monk.

Swans chief Jenkins is a big fan of the Northern Irishman who left the Liberty Stadium for Liverpool in 2012.

Rogers has been out of work since being sacked by the Reds in October but could jump at the opportunity to return to his old club.

David Moyes has reportedly ruled out a move to Swansea.
Moyes lost his job at Spanish outfit Real Sociedad last month and is thought to be a candidate to replace Monk.

But according to BBC Sport, the ex-Manchester United boss is not interested in taking over at Swansea.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton is another name in the frame.
