STAR WARS EPISODE VIII will continue the action from The Force Awakens but could ANOTHER major character die when filming starts in a few weeks?
A hugely important character dies at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
You'll have to watch the film to find out who, but it's safe to say that NOBODY is safe in the sequel.
Not even Daisy Ridley, according to an insider.
Fans are still reeling from the heart-breaking ending of The Force Awakens and the filmmakers have shown that they are not afraid of killing off anyone.
Episode VIII won't hit cinemas until 2017 but new star John Boyega has already started talking about the film shoot.
Boyega's character is central to the new trilogy.
He plays a troubled Stormtrooper, Finn, who deserts his eveil master and goes on the run.
Finn hooks up with the mysterious Rey, played by Daisy Ridley.
Both young British stars have received praise for their performances and are expected to be central to the devlopment of thw new films.
But an industry insider warns viewers not to get too attached to either of them.
They will join other new recruits Oscar Isaacs (as Poe Dameron) and Adam Driver (as Kylo Ren) when shooting on the series resumes, but the fate of their characters remains to be seen.
Ridley may have signed a three-film deal with the producers, explains a Disney insider, but that does not mean that she is safe.
"Daisy's deal doesn’t guarantee she’ll be in subsequent films," the insider revealed.
"It gives the studio peace of mind to know she’s contractually obliged if they want her again."
Ridley made £300,000 for the new film when a recent report reveals that Harrison Ford made more than 76 time MORE than that for The Force Awakens.
We start making the next Star Wars movie in a few weeks in London
London boy Boyega thrilled cinema-goers when he popped up at some recent screenings in his home town.
"It's an alright film, innit?" he joked with the crowd at the Ritzy cinema in Brixton, which is near his old neighbourhod.
"I have been doing some pop-ups at several different cinemas all over London and I definitely had to come to Brixton since I'm from down the road in Peckham," he added.
"So I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting this movie.
"The movie is yours now and I really hope you enjoyed it and we are so happy to be starting on episode eight in a few weeks in London and it is going to be fun.
"May the force be with you always."

Despite the enormous success of The Force Awakens, the director JJ Abrams will not be returning.
Rian Johnson, who is probably best known for time-travel film Looper with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Leavitt, will take the helm as the writer and director.
Star Wars: Episode VIII will be released on May 26, 2017 but you wont have to wait that long for the next Star Wars adventure.
The story is set in between the events of 2005's Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. It centres on a group of rebel fighters who come together to steal the plans for the Death Star.
It is their heroics and sacrifice which Princess Leia references when she smuggles out the plans inside R2-D2 at the start of the original 1977 film.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story features Brit beauty Felicity Jones, with Forrest Whitaker and Diego Luna.
