Rio Ferdinand slams Manchester United for first half showing against Stoke

RIO FERDINAND has delivered a damning verdict on Manchester United's Boxing Day disaster.

 

Rio Ferdinand slammed the United side for their first half showing

 

United were 2-0 down after 26 minutes after goals from Bojan and Marko Arnautovic at the Britannia Stadium.

Memphis Depay made a mess of his clearance to allow Bojan in to strike after just 19 minutes.

Arnautovic doubled the lead with a thunderous effort after Bojan's free kick was blocked.

 

And Ferdinand admits he wasn't shocked by what was happening.

He said on Twitter: "I'm not even surprised....that's what hurts even more at @ManUtd ....come on boys"

United had gone six games without a win before kick off and Louis van Gaal was under pressure to keep his job.

And United fans were signing "you're getting sacked in the morning" during the first half.
