Newcastle target refuses to play for Paris Saint-Germain
Salvatore Sirigu has made just one appearance for PSG all season
UNSETTLED Newcastle target Salvatore Sirigu refused to play for Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday - but it is still not good news for the Magpies.

Sirigu, 28, is reportedly as cover for the injured Tim Krul.
It was thought his refusal to play for PSG boss Laurent Blanc against Shakhtar was a sign that he would push for a transfer come January.

But Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim the selection snub has greater significance than simply kicking up a fuss.
For Sirigu is thought to have set his sights on joining Roma, who will play in the Champions League knockout stage next year.
Sirigu, 28, would have been cup-tied for European competition if he had started against Shakhtar in a dead rubber at the Parc des Princes.

It is claimed the Italy international is keen to play regular football and stake a claim for a place at Euro 2016.
He lost his place at PSG to German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp in the summer and is expected to leave the club.
But Newcastle, whose No 1 stopper Krul is out for the season with a cruciate injury, may struggle to convince Sirigu that St James' Park is a favourable destination over Serie A title-chasing Roma.
