Leicester captain confident of win against ‘under pressure’ Chelsea and Jose Mourinho

Wes Morgan confident ahead of Chelsea clash

LEICESTER captain Wes Morgan says all the pressure will be on Chelsea ahead of Monday's clash at the King Power Stadium.

 

Leicester top the Premier League and are just eight points short of the 40 that will all but guarantee them top-flight football next season.

A win against last season's champions, who sit 14th in the table, would reinforce the Foxes' title credentials ahead of a tough run of Christmas fixtures.

 

And Morgan believes his side are more than capable of continuing their impressive start to the season against the Blues, having lost just once in the league so far.

When asked which team is under the most pressure, he told Foxes Player: “Probably on Chelsea. They’re not in the best form at the moment.

“Everyone knows Mourinho is under a lot of pressure and the team should be doing a lot better. But we can’t write them off.

“They’re a fantastic team and have fantastic players, so at some point we know they’re going to come good again and go on a run of winning games.

“The pressure is probably a little bit on them to get the result, because everyone expects them to win every game, but we’re full of confidence and we should be looking to get a win.”
