Mohamed Elneny to undergo Arsenal medical today and sign contract tomorrow in £5m move
Mohamed Elneny is expected to join Arsenal in January

Arsenal have agreed a fee believed to be in the region of £5million for the Basel midfielder.

Elneny is expected to be Gunners boss Arsene Wenger's first January signing when the transfer window opens later this week.

And according to the Daily Mail, Elneny will be put through a medical by Arsenal in Paris today.

It is added the 23-year-old will put pen to paper on a four-and-half-year deal tomorrow.

But it is claimed Elneny must wait for clearance on a visa before the deal is officially sealed.

He has 39 international caps for Egypt and is not expected to have problems attaining a work visa.
Arsenal are dealing with a midfield injury crisis with Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky all sidelined.

Mathieu Flamini has also picked up a foot injury but could be back to face Newcastle on Saturday.
