Midtjylland star (who flopped at Arsenal) sends message to Manchester United
Kristoffer Olsson played for Arsenal before moving to Midtjylland last summer

FC MIDTJYLLAND would "almost be favourites" if they played Manchester United in the Europa League today, believes midfielder Kristoffer Olsson.

United were paired with Danish champions Midtjylland for the last-32 round of UEFA's secondary club competition.
Louis van Gaal's side had dropped down from the Champions League and are on a run of five games without a win.
Midtjylland, meanwhile, broke for the winter last weekend with just one victory in nine.

But former Arsenal youngster Olsson, 20, says his side would be a match for United if the two clubs clashed this side of the New Year.
"It would have been perfect to play now, we would have almost been favourites," Olsson told .
"No, but it does not feel like they have gotten together.
"There are many good players (at United), but they have not mixed properly.
"It is clear that we have a chance, but everyone needs to play to their ability for it to go our way."

Olsson joined Midtjylland initially on loan from Arsenal after leaving Swedish side IFK Norrkoping in 2011.
He made one appearance for the Gunners - a six-minute run-out as a sub against West Brom in the 2013/14 Capital One Cup - and made his move to Denmark permanent this summer.

And the Sweden U21 ace revealed before he joined the north London side he had supported United.
"I was also a United fan until I came to Arsenal," he revealed.
"It was so natural. Before that it was United, particularly with (David) Beckham and (Cristiano) Ronaldo."
