Manchester United line up Italian manager to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford
Massimiliano Allegri is wanted by Manchester United
MANCHESTER UNITED want Italian coach Massimiliano Allegri to replace Louis van Gaal, according to reports in Italy.

The Juventus manager has impressed the club's hierarchy after winning the title in his first season in Turin.
Allegri followed Antonio Conte into the Juve hot seat and carried on their title traditions.
This season they have struggled though.

A summer exodus saw influential midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal leave the club and they now sit fifth after 14 games.
They've qualified for the last 16 in the Champions League, overtaking Manchester City as group leaders with a game to go after the 1-0 win last week.
And United, who have Van Gaal contracted for one more season after this one, are looking at their future.

Reports over the weekend suggested Pep Guardiola wanted to join United when he leaves Bayern Munich.
The former Barcelona manager is out of contract in the summer but he has also been linked with Manchester City.

And Van Gaal has always maintained Ryan Giggs will replace him at United.
But Italian paper Repubblica report that Allegri is the man United want to bring in.
The 48-year-old is contracted until 2017, which would fit with Van Gaal's deal.
