Fulham youngster Moussa Dembele is attracting interest from a host of top European clubs |
NAPOLI have entered the race with Manchester United to sign Fulham wonderkid Moussa Dembele, according to reports.
The 19-year-old, who will be out of contract at Craven Cottage in the summer, has recently been linked with a switch to Louis van Gaal's side.
Old Trafford officials have reportedly contacted Fulham about signing the 19-year-old forward in January.
However, according to the London Evening Standard, the Red Devils may now face competition for the striker from their Italian counterparts.
The report adds that scouts from Napoli have been to watch Dembele on numerous occasions this season.
Despite admitting he was 'flattered' by the interest he was getting from the Premier League, Dembele insists he is committed to Fulham.
“It is funny and flattering but on a serious note I am focusing on Fulham and promotion to the Premier League," he said. "All the other things do not affect me that much.
“I don’t deceive. I give 100 per cent every time I wear the shirt. For the rest, my agents are dealing with it.”
Dembele has been in impressive form for Fulham so far this season, making 21 appearances and scoring 10 goals.
It is also believed that Everton, Tottenham, Feyenoord, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are interested in signing the France youth international.
