Manchester United are eyeing a move for Neymar

MANCHESTER UNITED are readying a massive bid to land Neymar, according to reports.

 

Recent reports have suggested that Neymar, who was chased by United over the summer, is thought to be close to signing a new deal with Barcelona.

Louis van Gaal hasn’t hidden his desire to add pace to his attack in January, with Tottenham’s Harry Kane thought to be on his wishlist.

United’s need to sign a striker was evident last night after their 3-2 defeat to Wolfsburg which saw them crash out of the Champions League.

And according to the Daily Telegraph, United are hoping to make a £144million bid for Neymar.

Harry Kane is also on Manchester United's wishlist

The report suggests Louis van Gaal will be given a £200m transfer kitty.

United have already spent £250m since Van Gaal took charge last year.
