Alberto Moreno says he's not aware of Real Madrid's interest

LIVERPOOL defender Alberto Moreno has poured cold water on speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

 

Real are keen to strengthen their defence when the transfer window reopens in January having suffered injuries to Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Dani Carvajal.

And Moreno's agent, Javier Moya, claimed yesterday that the La Liga giants have been 'asking about' the availability of his client.

 

The representative told Radio 4G: ”They are asking about him. If a team with the substance of Real Madrid makes an offer, it would be a joy for him."

But the Liverpool left-back has distance himself with a move to Real, insisting he is not aware of any approach from the Spanish capital.

Speaking to Cadena Cope, the Spaniard said: “I have never had anything serious with them – not me, not my brothers or representatives.

On whether there is genuine interest from Real Madrid, he added: “I have not found out about that, I do now know whether that is true.”
