Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho: We can win trophies under Jurgen Klopp this season
Philippe Coutinho reckons Liverpool can still win trophies this season under Jurgen Klopp

PHILIPPE COUTINHO insists Liverpool are still in the running to win the Premier League title this season despite their poor run of form.

The Reds have picked up just one point from their last three league games and find themselves in ninth place - five points off of a top four spot.
Coutinho, who arrived from Inter Milan in 2013, believes that Liverpool's recent slump in form is down to the team coming to terms with the demands of new boss Jurgen Klopp.
And despite the , the Brazilian international reckons Liverpool can still go on and win trophies this season.

“Now I hope to be able to help the team win trophies, it’s very important to keep battling,” he told the Daily Mirror
"We’re in a very good position. It’s the goal of everyone involved, we’re all focused on fighting for the trophies and I think we have a great chance in the competitions we’re in this year.
“We’re going to fight for that and I hope we win a trophy this year.”
The 23-year-old, who has now spent three years at Anfield, also expressed his confidence in his knowledge of the English game and hopes to use this to help guide the Reds to a trophy.

“It’s been three wonderful years, and I’m very grateful to the club,” he added.
“We learn little by little. When you arrive here, the football is very different, the style of play, it’s more intense, you use your body more, it’s faster.
“These things I think I’ve improved on since I arrived, as I came from a different style of football, and I hope I can continue to improve.”
Up next for Liverpool is a Boxing Day clash with table-topping Leicester.
