NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest news from Anfield.
Liverpool have made contact with Galatasaray over the availability of Uruguay international goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, according to reports.
Manchester United previously enquired about the 29-year-old over the summer and were quoted a fee in the region of £35million.
However, Turkish publication Kralspor claim the Reds are now leading the charge to sign the keeper.
Jurgen Klopp has pulled the plug on Daniel Sturridge's Liverpool return, telling him to toughen up on the training field.
"I don't want to see him in training because everybody sees him training and they think, 'Oh, come on, bring him into the team, we need his quality'," he said.
"No. We really, really have to be patient now. We have to wait. We have to train."
Christian Benteke has also been on the receiving end of some harsh words from Klopp, telling him to 'run more'.
"I think I have to run more and I have to be there for my team-mates,” Benteke admitted.
“I spoke with the manager a few days ago about where I can improve and what he is expecting from me. We had a good conversation."
