The defender, who has been called into Gareth Southgate's England under-21 side, has impressed in the Chelsea youth set up.
And the Reds are considering a move with his contract up at the end of the season.
But Jurgen Klopp faces competition from Napoli and Borussia Dortmund, according to the Mirror.
The Italian side tried to sign the 19-year-old on loan in the summer but were knocked back.
A full-back who can play inside, Aina joined Chelsea's under-11s initially as a winger.

He played in every round of last season's under-19s' UEFA Youth League campaign - which they won - and was included in Jose Mourinho's pre-season tour ahead of this campaign.
However, with Chelsea struggling this season, there have been few opportunities for Mourinho to blood youngsters into the side.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Charly Musonda's Stamford Bridge futures are also in doubt.
