MARTIN SKRTEL has ruled himself out for six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury.

The Liverpool defender was substituted after 41 minutes of the clash with Watford on Sunday.
The Reds went on to lose 3-0 and now Skrtel will miss the festive period as well as crucial Premier League clashes with Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Slovakia international will also sit out Liverpool’s Capital One Cup semi-final with Stoke after he confirmed the injury on his Instagram page.

He said: “After all rumours going around, I want to say the time I will spend on sideline won’t be three months.
“After I suffered tear in my hamstring and tendon I will be out for 6 weeks.
“I will work hard on my recovery and will do everything to come back as soon as possible and even stronger than before, thanks for your support.”
