Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool are nowhere near Premier League title contenders
Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool are not title contenders
JURGEN KLOPP has reiterated his claims that Liverpool are nowhere near title contenders following the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle.

Those performances had got people talking up their title credentials, but Klopp has since rubbised those claims, saying Liverpool are 'not part of this discussion'.

"I think we deserved a point maybe but not more because we didn’t play well enough," he told Sky Sports.
"I like to play the dirty points too – it's no problem. If Alberto’s [Moreno] goal was given it was 1-1 then the game can change. Until then we didn’t play as well as we like to.

Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool are nowhere near Premier League title contenders
Jurgen Klopp was left frustrated by Liverpool's performance
"I have to watch the game again. We were not really in the game. We were not aggressive enough or close enough. There were good moments for pressing but we didn't do it.
Asked about pundits talking up Liverpool's title credentials: "I’m sorry if someone is disappointed. Maybe someone is laughing at this.

"We’re not part of this discussion. I hope some people did something better on this Sunday than watching this game.
"We have to react and learn. I'm sure the lads will do it."
