FALLOUT 4 may have one of the largest game worlds ever created, but that hasn’t stopped one player from unwittingly discovering a new and explorable area.
Many Fallout fans stick to the wilderness of Boston, but after accidentally falling into the ocean, one intrepid explorer decided to scour the sea-bed in search of any hidden treasures.
But despite finding just one lootable item in a submerged car, the gamer stumbled upon something which could form part of Bethesda’s first DLC package which is set to become available from next year.
After spotting a light in the deep, the player discovered an ominous-looking structure resembling some sort of pump.
Unfortunately there was no door to be found, although an in-game message read “You cannot go that way” despite more explorable land in the background.
The player then followed a brightly-lit pipeline before deciding to resurface, leaving his brave new world behind.
The revelation has caused a stir online, with many Fallout fans voicing their opinions on what the structure could possibly be.
One theory is that it could be part of a future DLC, with the discovery of a harpoon by another player last month fuelling the conspiracy.
Bethesda has already confirmed it intends to release a number of expansions for Fallout 4, and many will be wondering if they’ve already caught a glimpse of what’s to come.
