LIVERPOOL have extended the loan deal for Sergi Canos as he continues to impress for Brentford in the Championship.

The 18-year-old joined from Barcelona's academy at the age of just 16, but has yet to appear for the first team.
The Spaniard signed a loan deal with Brentford in August, but the Bees have been so impressed by his performances that they have extended that until the end of the season.
Canos has made 16 appearances, albeit 11 of them from the bench, but was given the responsibility of starting when Brentford met high-flying Brighton on Boxing Day.

The Reds loanee was unable to get on the scoresheet that day as the sides drew 0-0, but he had scored twice in his previous five games.
And Canos is now determined to prove his worth to his parent club by powering Brentford into the playoff places and potentially the Premier League.
The winger has already played under Jurgen Klopp in a friendly for Liverpool during an international break, and spoke of his admiration for the German boss.

“Klopp is a special manager," Canos said after the match.
"He’s passionate. When we were playing the friendly game, it was like a Champions League game for him.
"For me, that matters, the importance he gives every match. Even if it’s a friendly or a Champions League game, he treats it the same.”
