Chelsea's Brazilian target reveals transfer talks ahead of January window

Alex Teixeira has been linked with PSG, Chelsea and Juventus

SHAKHTAR DONETSK midfielder Alex Teixeira has revealed talks with Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the January window.

 

The uncapped Brazilian has been heavily linked with a high-profile move after his impressive form for Shakhtar.

The 25-year-old attacker has scored 26 goals in as many outings this season, catching the eye of European heavyweights PSG, Chelsea and Juventus.

And while Teixeira is well aware of the interest in his services, the former Vasco da Gama star is not looking too far into the future.

 

"I know that there is interest on their part," the former Brazil Under-20 star revealed. "There have been talks but nothing concrete at this point.

"For the moment what interests me is going on holiday to Brazil, and we will see what the future holds for us."

Teixeira confirmed last month that Premier League champions Chelsea and Serie A giants Juve have also entered talks with Shakhtar.

He said: "From what I have seen and what my manager said, Chelsea, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have made proposals.

"But Chelsea and Juventus are deeper in negotiations. They are all big clubs. Wherever I go, I'll be happy.

"I have spoken to many people who play in the Premier League because I think it's the best league in the world. It's the most competitive and I want this challenge in my career."
