Jose Mourinho's sacking has crashed Chelsea's website

CHELSEA's website has crashed following the stunning news that Jose Mourinho has been sacked.

The Blues today dismissed Mourinho after losing their ninth match of the season at Leicester on Monday night.
And the news has sent social media into meltdown, crashing Chelsea's official website in the process.
Roman Abramovich is understood to have held talks concerning Mourinho's future yesterday, culminating in today's sacking.

And the club have since thanked the Portuguese for his 'immense contribution' in an official statement, highlighting the extent of his achievements.
"All at Chelsea thank Jose for his immense contribution since he returned as manager in the summer of 2013," the statement read.
"His three league titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and three League Cup wins over two spells make him the most successful manager in our 110-year history.

"But both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways.
His legacy at Stamford Bridge and in England has long been guaranteed

"His legacy at Stamford Bridge and in England has long been guaranteed and he will always be warmly welcomed back to Stamford Bridge.
