Chelsea line up Massimiliano Allegri as long term Jose Moruinho successor
Massimiliano Allegri won the domestic double in Italy last season

CHELSEA have lined up Massimiliano Allegri as a candidate to become their new manager at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Blues sacked Jose Mourinho last week after suffering nine losses in their opening 16 league games.
Guus Hiddink has taken over until the end of the current campaign but isn’t expected to be given the job on a longer basis.
Pep Guardiola, who will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, and Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, are Roman Abramovich’s preferred candidates for the role.

But the Evening Standard claim Juventus coach Allegri is also a candidate having impressed the Stamford Bridge hierarchy.
Last season he guided Juventus to the domestic double and the Champions League final.
Despite losing Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal in the summer, Juventus have recovered from a poor start to move to within three points of Serie A leaders Inter Milan.

The Italian also won Serie A while he was in charge of AC Milan.
Allegri could face competition for the Chelsea job from Italy coach Antonio Conte - the man he replaced at Juventus.
Conte is thought to be keen to return to a club job after Euro 2016 and he is understood to be interested in a move to the Premier League.
