Chelsea handed £36m warning over Brazilian striker pursuit
Alex Teixeira is reportedly on Chelsea's transfer wishlist
CHELSEA have been warned they face paying a hefty £36m for Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Alex Teixeira in the summer if they fail to sign him in the January.

Teixeira has scored 26 goals in the same number of matches this season and is one of their main targets as they look to climb the league after a dismal start.

But Teixeira’s manager at Donetsk, Mircea Lucescu, insists it could take a huge fee to sign the player next summer.
He said: “Alex is now worth more than 40 million euros (£28.9m).

“I think at the end of the season - were he to continue with this performance - his value is 50 million euro (£36.1m).
“If he were playing in a league more competitive, his transfer would be at the same level as that of Di Maria.”
Should Teixeira come to Stamford Bridge, he will unite with former team-mate and fellow Brazilian Willian.
