Brighton Transfer Special: Uncertainty over Man Utd ace, winger deal eyed, striker exit
Brighton went unbeaten for the first 21 games of the Championship season

After finishing 20th in the Championship last season Chris Hughton’s side have been transformed this term.
Under Hughton’s guidance the Seagulls went unbeaten in their first 21 league games of the season, before suffering their first loss to Middlesbrough in the run-up to Christmas.
The early Championship pace setters have had a number of stand-out performers this term including Beram Kayal and Solly March.
But Hughton knows his side will need to add to their squad if they want to secure promotion.
Here News News Blog Sport takes a look at what deals Brighton could do in January.

What do they need?
To keep hold of James Wilson.
The Manchester United striker, who is on loan at the club until the end of the season, scored in his first two games for the Seagulls and could prove crucial as Houghton’s side look to maintain their promotion bid.
But he could be reacalled at any time after United boss Louis van Gaal admitted if his side reach crisis point he will bring Wilson back.
With Gaetan Bong, Liam Rosenior, Kazenga LuaLua, Sam Baldock and March all out injured Houghton will need to add to his squad.
Richie Towell will join up from Dundalk in January after signing a two-and-a-half-year deal but more bodies will be needed.

How much can they spend?
The club spent £6million in the summer, and have funds to delve into the transfer window again in January.
If the club spend big it will be a sign they are stopping at nothing in the bid for Premier League football.

Wolves star Rajiv van La Parra could have his loan deal with Brighton extended

Who might they sign?
Rajiv van La Parra is currently on loan on the south coast until the 29th December.
With the huge amount of injuries already taking their toll at the club, they could look to secure the Wolves midfielder for the rest of the current campaign.
However his excellent performances so far mean he could see more playing time when he returns to Mollineux.

Who could leave?
Israeli frontman Tomer Hemed has been linked with a move away form the club.
He arrived on the South Coast in the summer from Almeria, but he has been linked with a move to Premier League club Swansea.
