World Cup winner urges PSG to sign £140m Barcelona duo over Man Utd target Ronaldo

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN should forget about signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, says former France star Christophe Dugarry.

PSG are known suitors of the ace, as are Manchester United.
But Dugarry insists Paris manager Laurent Blanc would be better off investing in a £140million double swoop for Barcelona's Neymar and Luis Suarez rather than bidding for Real's Ronaldo.
"I would prefer them to spend £140m (€200m) on Neymar and Luis Suarez than £70m (€100m) on Cristiano Ronaldo," Dugarry told French station Canal+.

PSG are understood to be seeking forward recruits after being given the green light by UEFA to spend big in future transfer windows.
Their Financial Fair Play sanctions that threatened to restrict big-name signings was last summer lifted and they immediately set about securing Angel Di Maria's £44m transfer from Manchester United.
Blanc is a known admirer of Ronaldo, who is understood to be unhappy with Real manager Rafael Benitez and wants to leave the club.
United remain favourites to land him but Paris are sure contenders, even if 1998 World Cup winner Dugarry advises against the move.

As for Neymar and Suarez, the chances of both leaving Barca are slim considering their form over recent weeks.
However, there were rumblings this autumn that Brazilian Neymar, 23, was far from content in Spain and was considering a switch.
It was confirmed by his father that United themselves had a world-record bid for the striker rejected and they are unlikely offer another transfer fee as focus switches to Ronaldo.

And Dugarry is not the only one urging PSG to sign Neymar over Ronaldo.
Earlier this month former PSG manager Luis Fernandez said: "Cristiano currently is not efficient. I find he is regressing.
"If he goes to PSG, he will score in Ligue 1, but will he deliver the Champions League?
"For me, I would go for Neymar. What will be his motivation to Paris? The Ballon d'Or has not been won at PSG."
