Microsoft has launched its own version of the Black Friday sales and slashed prices across categories in the Windows Store – but only for US customers.
Although the Black Friday sales originated in the United States, the one-day only bargain bonanza has since been adopted by UK retailers, including Tesco, Argos, Currys PC World and Amazon.
Microsoft is selling its most popular games, apps and movies for just 10 cents, some 7p converted.

The Redmond firm is rotating offers throughout the week until Black Friday

The discount is similar to the 12 Days of Christmas promotion, in which Apple offers a number of popular eBooks, movies, apps and songs for free over the 12 days following Christmas.
Corporate Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group Yusuf Mehdi announced the Windows Store promotion in a blog post.
"We’re grateful for your support this year and we want to help you easily enjoy great content on your Windows 10 device, while also checking out everything the Windows Store has to offer this holiday." he wrote online.
The Windows Store deals will rotate and change every day, he confirmed in the blog post.

Microsoft has already discounted Angry Birds: Star Wars, Jurassic World, Terminator Genisys, Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1, Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean and Mahjong Secrets HD.
"I hope you enjoy these great deals on Windows 10! Happy shopping," posted Mr Mehdi.
The Redmond technology firm has also knocked $200 off the price of its last generation Surface Pro 3.
More than 110 million devices worldwide are now running the latest Windows operating system, according to data from Microsoft.

Microsoft is keen to migrate customers to Windows 10, which offers a slew of new functionality – and some controversial data collection policies.
Users have previously complained about slow boot-up speeds, trouble with wifi connections, privacy concerns and issues with child safety features following the upgrade to Windows 10.
