WAYNE ROONEY has got himself into trouble once more after slapping World Wrestling Entertainment star Wade Barrett during the wrestling event at Manchester Arena.
The Manchester United and England captain had heard enough of Barrett's trash talk and delivered a vicious shot to his face.
Barrett, a Preston North End fan, was ringside as fellow wrestlers Sheamus and Cesaro fought in the ring.
He told Rooney: "In this ring are two men who can be easily be described as as championship material.

"Which is, of course, more than can be said of Wayne Rooney and Manchester United.
"I would hate for your little boy to have to watch his own father fail. He gets to experience that every single time you step on a football pitch."
Angry at Barrett's taunts, Rooney called out the wrestler and "slapped" him in the face to rapturous applause in the arena.
Barrett and Rooney have clashed earlier this year when the 6ft 7ins performer accused the 30-year-old of diving when United and Preston played in the FA Cup in February.
"How about that @WayneRooney dive vs @PNEFC?", Wade tweeted.
"@WadeBarrett I'll get stone cold Steve Austin out of retirement for you. Haha", the Manchester United star replied.
